फलनों का संयोजन :–

माना $f(x)=2x+1, f:R→R$
$g(x)=x^2+2x, f:R→R$

(1) $fog=f[g(x)]$
$=f(x^2+2x)$
$=2(x^2+2x)+1$
$=2x^2+4x+1$

(2) $gof=g[f(x)]$
$=g(2x+1)$
$=(2x+1)^2+2(2x+1)$
$=4x^2+1+4x+4x+2$
$=4x^2+8x+3$

(3) $fof=f[f(x)]$
$=f(2x+1)$
$=2(2x+1)+1$
$=4x+2+1$
$=4x+3$

(4) $gog=g[g(x)]$
$=g(x^2+2x)$
$=(x^2+2x)^2+2(x^2+2x)$
$=x^4+4x^2+8x^3+2x^2+4x$
$=x^4+8x^3+6x^2+4x$

Note:– यदि $f:A→B$

$g:B→C$
then, $gof:A→C$

व्युत्क्रमणीय फलन:–

यदि एकैकी व आच्छादक फलन हो तो व्युत्क्रमणीय फलन
$f^(-1)=B→A$
